It isn’t just the interior of a home that can benefit from a great tiling job. Most people think of placing tiles in their kitchens and bathrooms. Both porcelain and ceramic tiles don’t retain water, making them an excellent choice for those high-moisture areas.
Have you ever considered putting them outside?
The exterior of a home sees a lot of abuse from the weather. Rain splashes on it. Sunlight beats down on anything that’s exposed. While materials that can take environmental punishment are standard for all homes, there is an additional benefit to using tiles.
By using ceramic tiles, you can have the patio and interior living areas feel like a single space. One flows into the other because they use the same floor and materials. Ceramic tiles have a low water absorption rate. They also retain colours better under the sun.
Best of all is that the seamless feel of the space doesn’t need to come with ordinary tiles. Ceramic tiles come in a wide range of options. Some of the most popular among RRP clients are ones that mimic the appearance of stone.
If you don’t like ceramics, porcelain can do the same job. While they are less resistant to colours fading in the sun, they have superior durability. They are also more water resistant and easier to clean.
We also offer the option to use tiles that have been treated to be frost-proof, at your discretion.
RRP recommends that, if the choice is allowed by the budget, you pick ceramics for the outside and porcelain for the interior. The result is a seamless-feeling space, floors and exteriors that are low-maintenance, and a home that looks more welcoming.
Of course, all of these options need to be installed, and in that, RRP has you covered. Our professionals can come in, remove any existing flooring, and install the tiles with minimal fuss.
